When BA Salon Team opened its doors in 2014, our goal was simple but powerful: redefine the Detroit hair salon experience by combining expert haircuts, creative color, and true self-expression. From sleek silk-presses to tight coils, our talented Detroit hairstylists have always specialized in all hair textures—whether you’re after precision layers, bold balayage, or curly-hair expertise.
Trials That Shaped Us (2019–2020)
In 2019, we faced the emotional loss of a founding partner—an experience that deepened our commitment to Detroit’s creative and beauty community.
When the 2020 pandemic hit, we didn’t pause—we pivoted. From Zoom styling tutorials to virtual consultations, we kept our Midtown Detroit clients connected to our craft. Staffing challenges arose too, but today our squad is stronger than ever, grounded in passion and purpose.
A New Chapter: Growth & Community (2021)
By 2021, we expanded into a multi-zone salon studio in Midtown Detroit—designed not just for hair and nails, but also for photoshoots, hands-on classes, and art exhibitions. We became more than a salon; we became a creative collective—a hub for Detroit’s artists, designers, and beauty lovers.
Lessons in Intention (2022–2024)
Between 2022 and 2024, life shifted focus when my son was diagnosed with leukemia. That chapter taught us the power of presence, patience, and intention—values we now weave into every keratin treatment, extension install, and custom color service. These hard-earned lessons made us better stylists, stronger humans, and more mindful collaborators.
Celebrating Our Collective (May 2025)
This May, we officially stepped into our next chapter with a ribbon-cutting and art show celebration. BA Salon Team isn’t just a place for beauty—it’s a Detroit destination. Local artists filled our gallery-style walls, signature mocktails flowed, and our studio buzzed with energy, color, and creativity.
